Operations Lead — Full Time
Whale Tales Archery
We're not your average archery shop — and we're not looking for an average Operations Lead.
Whale Tales Archery is growing, and we need someone who can keep up. If you thrive in a fast-moving environment, love the sport, and know retail. This role is the backbone of our day-to-day operation — from opening the shop to closing the books, you'll be the person who makes sure everything runs the way it should.
What You'll Do:- Help Run the shop. Own the daily operation — staffing, floor management, customer experience, and everything in between. When something needs to get done, you make sure it does.
- Drive sales. You know how to read a customer, make the right recommendation, and close. You'll coach the team to do the same and help us hit our monthly goals.
- Manage inventory. Stay ahead of stock levels, work with our vendors, and make sure the right products are on the floor at the right time.
- Competitive pay with a benefits package
- 401(k) with company match
- Healthcare stipend to offset insurance costs
- Shop spending allowance and deep employee discounts — because you should be shooting the gear you're selling
- 2 weeks paid vacation to start, increasing over time
- Experience in retail management or a similar leadership role
- Strong communicator that connect with customers
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple priorities without dropping the ball
- A genuine passion for archery is a serious advantage — you don't have to be a pro, but you need to love the sport
Please submit your resume, along with a cover letter explaining your interest and experience in archery and retail management, to shoot@whaletalesarchery.com.
